New Year’s Resolutions

With only hours left before the end of 2018 and the start of the new year, 2019, it’s traditional for people to make “resolutions” to improve themselves and their lives in this time period on either side of the confetti dropping, the champagne popping, and the ball in New York slowly descending (hardly “dropping”).

I have a suggestion.

How about we Christians make the following as our lone resolution — We resolve to allow the Holy Spirit within us to make as many of the decisions in our lives as we possibly can.

Wouldn’t we all be better off if the driver of our lives this coming year was God instead of us? Wouldn’t we all live far more meaningful and more Christian lives if Christ Himself were truly at the helm of our ship?

MAKE THAT SIMPLE RESOLUTION RIGHT NOW – to let Him make the decisions moving forward. LISTEN to what those “nudges” say to you… PAY ATTENTION to whether your “conscience” is trying to tell you something is wrong… THINK before “indulging the flesh” in a way that does not glorify the Lord.

And on behalf of ACT II MINISTRIES, have a happy New Year!
