America, Ezekiel has a message for you

This message from God through Ezekiel to Israel in its final days before exile sound so much like the landscape of 2018 America that He might well be prophesying to us too:

24 “Son of man, give the people of Israel this message: In the day of my indignation, you will be like a polluted land, a land without rain. 25 Your princes plot conspiracies just as lions stalk their prey. They devour innocent people, seizing treasures and extorting wealth. They make many widows in the land. 26 Your priests have violated my instructions and defiled my holy things. They make no distinction between what is holy and what is not. And they do not teach my people the difference between what is ceremonially clean and unclean. They disregard my Sabbath days so that I am dishonored among them. 27 Your leaders are like wolves who tear apart their victims. They actually destroy people’s lives for money! 28 And your prophets cover up for them by announcing false visions and making lying predictions. They say, ‘My message is from the Sovereign LORD,’ when the LORD hasn’t spoken a single word to them. 29 Even common people oppress the poor, rob the needy, and deprive foreigners of justice.”

Look at the nation today. We are a polluted land; climate change devastates portions of our nation without rain (and other sections, it drowns and floods!). Our government does plot conspiracies, often against each other. The recent “tax reform” and revocation of many of the protections of ACA  “devour innocent people, seizing (our) treasures and extorting (our) wealth.” The evangelicals who support this president claim his demonstrated love for the seven deadly sins are God’s Will for their Holy President – they make “no distinction between what is (truly) holy and what is not…” Our leaders are indeed “like wolves who (financially) tear apart their victims. They actually destroy people’s loves for money!”

How much more clear does it have to get?

And yet when eventually this president (and hopefully his acolytes) is thrown from office for his crimes, will it result in a “holy war” from these poor deluded people who believe ignorance is strength, slavery is freedom, war is peace, just like Orwell’s Big Brother in 1984 claimed in doublespeak. There are undoubtedly those reading this who already think I speak heresy for defaming the great and powerful Oz, not worrying about who or what’s behind the curtain…and it is they who I fear for the most.

Those poor people are no better or worse than I am, but they have been deluded, and once someone has bought into a delusion with their heart and soul for at least a year, it is harder to disillusion them than it is to extract their very children from them, or their homes, or anything else of value. They cling to those illusions because those delusions are so ingrained that they are part of their core personality now, and to lose them is to lose part of themselves. What happens when they are confronted with the reality of who Trump is – a narcissistic, increasingly senile man who only cared for how he was perceived, not what he was doing for anyone else? They won’t rationally go, “Wow, I guess I was wrong. Sorry – my bad, guys. Let’s move on.” No, unfortunately, they’ll listen to whatever voices they can find that will reinforce their feelings, that delusion of glory, and those voices will be screaming that the evil elements in their society have overthrown their righteous leaders through intrigue and lies and jealousy of their “success”. And what happens then? Civil war? Possibly.

Factor in another detail that this ministry has espoused will happen before that impeachment occurs.

The Holy Spirit will be withdrawn from this world. The true Christians will have already been Raptured. Who will be left? The Left, who desperately want 45 removed and have no Godly love to temper that desperation, and the Evangelical Right, the ungodly who speak in His Name in demonstrably false fashion, preaching for the elimination of foreigners despite God’s command to help those sojourners in your land; punishing the poor despite Christ’s insistence that the sheep will be separated from the goats by that very standard.

Which of those two sides will stand down when push comes to shove?

The only safe people in this country will be the ones who left on the Last Train out, when Christ returns briefly to take the true Believers out of this world before all literal Hell breaks loose, before the Anti-Christ takes charge of the world and (as I’ve suggested many times before) uses the USA as his foil to unite the world against us, while we tear ourselves apart from inside, a lost footnote in history as the Anti-Christ makes a faux-Heaven on earth (which will last about three years until he becomes Satan himself and makes it into Hell on earth instead, leading up to the extermination of every non-Believer on earth.)

Which side will you be on?

For those of you who read this far and think, He’s full of crap, I leave you with the following, also from Ezekiel. This is God’s message to His Own People, Israel, in chapter 20, and the response of the people who were destroyed very soon thereafter:

“Son of man, bring charges against them and condemn them. Make them realize how detestable the sins of their ancestors really were…they refused to obey my decrees there in the wilderness. They wouldn’t obey my regulations even though obedience would have given them life. They also violated my Sabbath days. So I threatened to pour out my fury on them, and I made plans to utterly consume them in the wilderness…

This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Hear the word of the LORD! I will set you on fire, and every tree, both green and dry, will be burned. The terrible flames will not be quenched and will scorch everything from south to north. And everyone in the world will see that I, the LORD, have set this fire. It will not be put out.’”

Then I said, “O Sovereign LORD, they are saying of me, ‘He only talks in riddles!’”

Riddles.

How much clearer could He be? I will set you on fire. You will be destroyed. And yet, they will be surprised when He appears. As Christ told His apostles,

You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. That is why I use these parables, For they look, but they don’t really seeThey hear, but they don’t really listen or understand

This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says, ‘When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend.’

For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes — so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand.”  (Mt 13:11-15)

Don’t let your heart be hardened. Listen to the Lord, not the world.
